Online alternative education provider
We are an online alternative education provider. We provide bespoke programmes of study that students can access from home or within a school setting at an affordable price.
Students complete their learning at their own pace using learning booklets and receiving written feedback from qualified, specialist subject teachers to develop their understanding.
How we work
Students are part of a daily live tutor group that helps develop a sense of community and covers important topics such as internet safety, mental health and wellbeing and careers advice and guidance.
Every child has a personal mentor, who will meet once a week for an online 1-1 mentoring session. In some circumstances these may be home visits.
We can work with work experience providers to KS4 students to include a local work experience placement as part of a student’s individual programme of study.
Jackie Nicholls
"I’m Jackie Nicholls, the Founder and headteacher of The Phoenix Project. I am an experienced senior leader in education and over recent years I have been struck by the limited choices families have when it comes to alternative education options."
"I could see how desperate it can feel when mainstream education isn’t working for a child but families have no other options, so I created The Phoenix Project. We exist to provide an inclusive and compassionate service that supports students to reach their ambitions, whatever they may be."
